Home Environment
Our home is a nefarious environment of chemical concoctions. From what we use to wash our dishes, clean our floors and counters, and freshen our air with, we can we absorbing 1000s of chemicals daily.
We have been programmed to think that chemicals clean best, that all germs are our enemy and scent is connected to “clean”. I get it, I was like this too! And it’s hard to undo the wiring in our brain that says this is truth. In truth, when we kill all the germs in our home, we rob our immune systems from becoming robust and armoured for when we come across an especially nasty bug.
With weak immune function, those nasty bugs can wreak havoc on us, laying us up for days or in some cases even landing one in the hospital. With a high-functioning immune system however, even the nasty bugs are fought heartily and severe sickness averted. For some even, it may feel like a mild cold or nothing at all.
This is why bleach or any cleaner with bleach, is banned from my home. Nevermind that those cleaners are laden with ingredients that are known toxins, carcinogens and can cause major health issues. They also have been found to leave behind a residue on surfaces that we then inadvertently touch, put food on, ingest etc which causes a whole other host of health issues.
Don’t get me wrong, I still clean my home of course, but my choice of cleaner is a Norwex cloth which leaves behind no residue but rids my home of bad germs just as well as chemical cleanser without the health concerns. In the extra touch spots, I have a non-toxic cleaner with Thyme oil called Benefect that works amazing.

Home Scent - Diffuse essential oils. Non-toxic candles made with essential oils. My favourite are by a local business “Little Farm on Wallstreet”
Laundry - Norwex Ultra Laundry Soap, Norwex Stain Remover concentrate, Wool Dryer Balls with Lemon or Lavender essential oil
Bleach Alternative - Nellies Oxigen Whitener
Windows and Mirrors - Norwex Window Cloth
Bathroom - Norwex Enviro cloth, Norwex bathroom cleaner (for toilet), Norwex bathroom scrub mitt
